About Me

Nice to meet you! I’m a bilingual (English-Spanish) licensed psychologist who was born and raised in south Florida. From an early age, I was that friend who you’d talk to about your feelings. I pride myself in my listening skills and my ability to be present with others. I am multi-racial; my father is Italian, and my mother is Peruvian. I like to say I have the best of both worlds when it comes to cuisine. Growing up in the melting pot of cultures that is south Florida alongside my own mixture of cultures shaped me into the clinician and person I am today. I value the small differences that make us unique, from the way we season our food to the way our families approach feelings. With these differences in mind, I hope to learn from you and adapt my approach to keep your cultural background in mind.

When I am not in my office, I spend time at home with my husband and two dogs, Bruno and Totti. I really enjoy watching sci-fi, rom-coms, and sit-coms. Most recently, I watched the One Piece live action show and am really interested in all things pirates. Don’t get me started on the Marvel universe, I will talk your ear off… I totally understand the deep dives one gets into when they are interested in something and am curious to learn what your interests are!

My Training

I attended Carlos Albizu University for my graduate studies in psychology, receiving my Doctor of Psychology degree in 2019. I completed my graduate-level internship at Providence Saint John’s Child and Family Development Center in Santa Monica, CA, where I provided services at a therapeutic preschool for children ages 2-4 with emotional and behavioral disorders.  I then completed my post-doctoral residency at Nova Southeastern University’s Mailman Segal Center, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and global developmental delays.

I have experience providing therapy and testing in both English and Spanish with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health centers and private practice.

My Specialties

I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults between the ages of 8-25 who present with:

  • Autism
  • ADHD/ executive functioning difficulties
  •  Learning Disorders and related difficulties
  • Depressive disorders
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Relationship and communication difficulties
  • Self-esteem and identity related difficulties
  • Social problems
  •  Life transitions and adjustment problems
  •  LGBTQIA+ related stressors

I work with individuals who have co-occurring presentations, meaning their symptoms aren’t specific to one diagnosis. In my work, I find that individuals who have a neurodevelopmental disorder (i.e., autism, ADHD, learning difficulties) tend to also experience mood, interpersonal, or identity challenges. I hope to help these individuals by tailoring my interventions to suit their particular presentation.
